A third-person view hand-to-hand fighting game with plug-in player models and intelligent controls (climbing, automatic jumping, facing enemies.) Hack and Slash started out - with all of these features - as a Quake TC by Seth Galbraith using models by Orca3D, Shockman and Zancrus. Development on the Quake version stopped in 2002. In 2004 and 2005 a Blender version was started then abandoned.
License[]
Hack and Slash is licensed under the LGPL for reasons having to do with how the project came together. The LGPL license specifically allows users to "upgrade" the license to GPL when they make their own version of the program. So it's an unusual license for a free game, but it shouldn't cause serious compatibility problems.
